I taught physical education at Yogyakarta Boys' School in Yogyakarta from 1984 to 2005. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I learned every name in the first week.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Elsa
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Elsa: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
