I've volunteered with Berlin Neighborhood Trust since 1997. I started on a Saturday morning "just to help out" and never left.
I'm not an expert in anything, I just show up. I garden badly but happily.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Elke
We run on goodwill and a very old kettle.
What gifts mean to Elke: I'd put a gift toward transport for our volunteers.
