Elizabeth Rita Tawiah
Local tiling and shoemaking
- 🇬🇭 Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana
- Since 2004
- English, Twi
I've worked in tiling since 2004. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,140 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 15 years later for another job.
I'm still learning every day.

What gifts mean to Elizabeth: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
