For 30 years I've mentored people in teaching and law school. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Elijah
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Elijah: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
