I've coached rowing at San Francisco Youth Club since 1978. Most of my players were between 8 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Elijah
If you played for me, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.
What gifts mean to Elijah: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
