Special education and social studies teacher, Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro Primary School

I teach special education at Rio de Janeiro Primary School in Rio de Janeiro since 1994. Most days I teach first-year students, and I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer. Over the years I've had 1,600 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I'm still learning every day.

More about Eliane

If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember the surprise birthday cake.
