I teach music at Oakland Secondary School in Oakland since 2009. Most days I teach Grade 4, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Eliana
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
