I work mostly in calligraphy, sometimes woodcarving. My first show was in 2011 at Old Los Angeles Print Workshop, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by markets and street scenes. I make terrible puns.
What gifts mean to Elena: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
