Elena J. Bell
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Fort Collins, Colorado, United States
- Beacon Workshop
- Since 2011
- English
I've worked in thatching since 2011. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 870 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.

What gifts mean to Elena: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
