Elena G. Macías
Materials science lecturer, Since 2018
- 🇲🇽 Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Mexico
- Summit Polytechnic
- Since 2018
- English
I teach materials science at Summit Polytechnic since 2018, and supervised 53 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Elena
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Elena: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
