Edson Sérgio Bastos

Professor of marine biology, Westbrook Institute of Technology

🇧🇷 Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Westbrook Institute of Technology
Since 1979
Portuguese, English

My subject is marine biology, and for 47 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Westbrook Institute of Technology. Former students now work as an accountant and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Edson

I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.

What gifts mean to Edson: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
