Ecrin İpek Can
Thatching, done properly
- 🇹🇷 Çankaya, Ankara, Türkiye
- Old Çankaya Shop
- 2017 to 2025
- English, French
I've worked in thatching from 2017 to 2025. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 210 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
More about Ecrin
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Ecrin: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
