I've coached athletics at Fresno Community Club since 1989. Most of my players were between 12 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
