I taught drama at Trinity Grammar School in Hồ Chí Minh City from 1995 to 2011. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
