I spent 14 years as a lecturer in civil engineering at San Diego Polytechnic in San Diego. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once.
I'm still learning every day.

If you wrote a dissertation with me, I probably still have a copy on my shelf.
