I spent 36 years as a lecturer in civil engineering at Kilimanjaro Institute of Technology in Kasarani. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I walk the dog by the river.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Dr. Wekesa: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
