I taught organic chemistry at Soweto Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2007, and supervised 31 dissertations along the way.
Former students now work as a clerk and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
More about Dr. Venter
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Dr. Venter: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
