Dr. Van der Merwe

Civil engineering lecturer, 2001 to 2010

  • 🇿🇦 Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa
  • Sandton Polytechnic
  • 2001 to 2010
  • English
My subject is civil engineering, and for nine years I got to share it with undergraduates at Sandton Polytechnic. I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once. I'm still learning every day.

More about Dr. Van der Merwe

I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
