I spent eight years as a lecturer in economics at São Paulo State University in São Paulo. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I fix old bicycles.
What gifts mean to Dr. Tavares: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
