I've spent twelve years as a lecturer in computer science at Harmony State University in Vitória da Conquista. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I garden badly but happily.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Dr. Soares
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Dr. Soares: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
