My subject is sociology, and for 27 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Hillcrest State University.
Former students now work as a bank clerk and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Dr. Şimşek
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Dr. Şimşek: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
