Dr. Shaw
Mathematics lecturer, Since 1983
- 🇦🇺 Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia
- Fairview Polytechnic
- Since 1983
- English
My subject is mathematics, and for 43 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Fairview Polytechnic.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Dr. Shaw
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Dr. Shaw: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
