I've spent 27 years as a lecturer in philosophy at Victory University in Munich. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I watch every football match going.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
What gifts mean to Dr. Schmid: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
