I've spent 45 years as a lecturer in materials science at Lotus State University in Rochester. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I run most mornings.
What gifts mean to Dr. Russell: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
