I've spent 28 years as a lecturer in astronomy at Akron Polytechnic in Akron. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a night-shift cleaner and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Dr. Rhodes
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
