Dr. Naicker
Rural doctor and teacher
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Brookfield Maternity Hospital
- 1993 to 2023
- English, Afrikaans
I practiced obstetrics at Brookfield Maternity Hospital from 1993 to 2023. I started with a stethoscope and a borrowed desk and ended up knowing most of the town.
I take the work seriously, though not myself. It makes appointments less scary.

If I was your doctor, I hope you listened to my advice. Most of you didn't, and that's fine.

What gifts mean to Dr. Naicker: I'd use a gift for transport costs for patients who can't afford the trip.
