I've spent 32 years as a lecturer in computer science at Rio de Janeiro Polytechnic in Rio de Janeiro. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Dr. Mendes
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Dr. Mendes: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
