I've spent 43 years as a lecturer in economics at Sunrise University in Cairo. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Dr. Mahmoud
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Dr. Mahmoud: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
