I've spent eleven years as a lecturer in civil engineering at Sakura University in Toulouse. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once.

Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Dr. Le Roux: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
