Dr. Kariuki

Professor of astronomy, Thika College

🇰🇪 Thika, Kiambu, Kenya
Thika College
Since 1980
English, Swahili

I've spent 46 years as a lecturer in astronomy at Thika College in Thika. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more. I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once.

More about Dr. Kariuki

Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.

What gifts mean to Dr. Kariuki: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
