I've spent 34 years as a lecturer in political science at Lakeview Institute of Technology in Pretoria. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm learning the guitar.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Dr. Jacobs
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Dr. Jacobs: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
