My subject is architecture, and for 41 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Los Angeles Polytechnic.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I watch every football match going.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Dr. Hanson
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Dr. Hanson: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
