Dr. Guimarães

Professor of modern history, São Paulo University

  • 🇧🇷 São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil
  • São Paulo University
  • 2004 to 2020
  • Portuguese, Spanish
My subject is modern history, and for 16 years I got to share it with undergraduates at São Paulo University. I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

More about Dr. Guimarães

I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
