I've spent 38 years as a lecturer in mathematics at Pune Polytechnic in Pune. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a bank clerk and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Dr. Gala: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
