I've spent 14 years as a lecturer in materials science at Kilkenny Polytechnic in Kilkenny. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as an accountant and in a dozen other fields. It is the best part of this job.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Dr. Flanagan: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
