I've spent 33 years as a lecturer in linguistics at Lincoln State University in Fresno. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I sing in a choir.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
