I spent 30 years as a lecturer in sociology at Newcastle University in Newcastle. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I watch every football match going.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Dr. Cruz
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
