I've spent nine years as a lecturer in public health at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If you wrote a dissertation with me, I probably still have a copy on my shelf.
What gifts mean to Dr. Cortés: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
