I've spent 28 years as a lecturer in agriculture at Bayview State University in Ribeirão Preto. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a shop assistant and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
More about Dr. Castro
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Dr. Castro: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
