Dr. Black
Professor of modern history, Southampton University
- 🇬🇧 Southampton, England, United Kingdom
- Southampton University
- 2003 to 2012
- English
I taught modern history at Southampton University from 2003 to 2012, and supervised 18 dissertations along the way.
Former students now work as a waiter and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Dr. Black
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Dr. Black: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
