I've spent 45 years as a lecturer in astronomy at London Polytechnic in London. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
What gifts mean to Dr. Banks: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
