I've spent 43 years as a lecturer in mathematics at Guarulhos Institute of Technology in Guarulhos. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm learning the guitar.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Dr. Azevedo
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Dr. Azevedo: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
