Dr. Arvidsson
Professor of modern history, Gothenburg Polytechnic
- 🇸🇪 Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden
- Gothenburg Polytechnic
- 1980 to 2012
- English
I spent 32 years as a lecturer in modern history at Gothenburg Polytechnic in Gothenburg. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I run most mornings.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Dr. Arvidsson: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
