Doris N. Garcia

Volunteer mentor with Akron Youth Network

  • 🇺🇸 Akron, Ohio, United States
  • Akron Youth Network
  • 2006 to 2014
  • English
For eight years I've mentored people in public speaking and trades. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening. I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

More about Doris

Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
