Doris J. Perkins

Mentor in first-generation students and farming

  • 🇺🇸 Brooklyn, New York, United States
  • Sunrise Learning Hub
  • Since 2001
  • English
I'm a mentor in first-generation students. I've spent my career as a mechanic and now give some of that back. Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.

More about Doris

Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.

You helped me get my first first-generation students job in 2021. I still have your notes. Greetings from Nnewi.
