Dorcas Rose Mbwambo
Chess and fitness coach, Kikuyu
- 🇰🇪 Kikuyu, Kiambu, Kenya
- Good Shepherd Youth Club
- Since 2004
- English
For 22 years I've run the chess program at Good Shepherd Youth Club in Kikuyu. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Dorcas
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
