Dorcas Nakato Ouma

Coached tennis for 14 years in Arusha

  • 🇹🇿 Arusha, Arusha, Tanzania
  • Arusha Youth Club
  • 2003 to 2017
  • English
I coached tennis at Arusha Youth Club from 2003 to 2017. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never once raised my voice. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Dorcas

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Dorcas: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
