Dorcas Chebet Mukasa
Sculpture artist in Embakasi
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
- The Embakasi Print Workshop
- Since 1986
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in sculpture, sometimes woodcarving. My first show was in 1986 at The Embakasi Print Workshop, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I take the work seriously, though not myself. My studio is always a bit of a mess.

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
