Donna Hawkins

25 years teaching design and technology in Wollongong

  • 🇦🇺 Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia
  • Wollongong Boys' School
  • 2000 to 2012
  • English
For twelve years I was the design and technology teacher at Wollongong Boys' School. I taught teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Donna

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
