I've been a nurse for 33 years, most of them in dialysis at Half-Way Tree Children's Hospital in Half-Way Tree. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
